TUTT/UNO
The concept behind the tablecloth is based on the use of the traditional embroidering technic of the Sicilian ‘Sfilato’ which consists of removing singular counted threads from a textile, horizontally and vertically, to create a laced artwork. Applied to TUTT/UNO, the sfilato has the function of dividing the tablecloth into smaller modular items (table mats, napkins, runners...) that could be obtained by cutting the main piece through the lace. Who uses this item can adapt the tablecloth to their habits at the table, by allowing the preferred mise en place and use of the fabric.
